What is the Zero Debt Club?

The Zero Debt Club is a simple, structured way to work towards a zero-debt home loan. Instead of leaving your mortgage on “set and forget” for 25–30 years, this program helps you:

  • understand how your loan really works
  • use debt-deletion strategies that suit your situation
  • build a safety plan for life’s surprises
  • move step-by-step towards a life with less debt and more freedom.

There is no program fee for you – if you choose to go ahead with a home loan through one of our Certified Credit Coaches from Loanworx, this new initiative is complimentary for you as a valued client. We get paid by the lender should you proceed with a recommended loan.

How the Zero Debt approach works

The Zero Debt Club brings together five key components that work in harmony around your home loan.

  • Your Certified Credit Coach:

  • Goal Setting
: You set clear goals for your home loan and your life – such as bringing your debt-free date forward, building a safety buffer, or freeing up cashflow for the future.
  • Your Debt-Deletion Strategies
: Practical tactics tailored to you, such as repayment structuring, offset and redraw strategies, reviewing rates and products, and using lump sums wisely.
  • Your Disaster Plan:
A safety plan for when things change – interest rate rises, job changes, illness or other unexpected events – so your home loan stays manageable and minimises your stress.
  • Your Home Loan
: Everything connects back to your actual mortgage. The structure, the features and the way you use it are all aligned to your zero-debt goals, not just the bank’s default settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who is the Zero Debt Club for?

The Zero Debt Club is for individuals with home loans who want to reduce debt faster, understand how their mortgage really works and feel more in control of their finances.

2. Do I have to refinance my home loan to take part?

Not always. The first step is to review your current loan and strategy. If your existing loan can support your zero-debt goals, we’ll show you how to use it better. If there’s a better option available (and is most cases there is due to our extensive range of lenders and loans), we’ll explain the pros and cons of refinancing.

3. Does the Zero Debt Club cost anything to join?

No. There is no separate fee to be part of the Zero Debt Club. If you decide to proceed with a recommended home loan, the lender pays the brokerage fee, which is the usual way mortgage broking works in Australia.

4. Can I join if my home loan is with another bank?

Yes. Many individuals start the Zero Debt journey with an existing loan at another bank. We review your situation and then discuss whether staying where you are or moving lenders is the better option for you to achieve your goals.

5. How quickly can I see a difference in my home loan?

Some individuals notice a change as soon as their new structure or repayment strategy is in place. The real impact comes over time, as interest savings and extra repayments start to bring your debt-free date closer.

6. Is the Zero Debt Club only about my mortgage, or other debts too?

Your home loan is the main focus, but we’ll also look at other personal debts where relevant, so your overall plan moves you towards a zero-debt position, not just a cheaper mortgage.

7. What if my circumstances change after I join?

Life happens. Part of the Zero Debt approach is having a disaster plan and regular check-ins, so if things change, your strategy can be adjusted rather than abandoned.
